According to the indictment, 83 men between the ages of 22 and 74 raped over years Gisèle Pélicot (now 72), who had previously been drugged by her husband, with her husband's consent. In total, the indictment lists 92 rapes, all of which were planned by Dominique Pélicot. Many of the abuses were carried out by the 71-year-old himself - always without his wife's knowledge.
The 71-year-old is also said to have made perverse photomontages of his daughters-in-law.
Aurore (37), the ex-wife of Pélicot's son Florian, said in court: "The police said that there are also pictures of me naked in the shower." There are said to be more than 100 photos. Among them is a photo of Pélicot's penis on Aurore's swimsuit. Under the picture is written: "My naughty daughter-in-law."
Apparently Pélicot didn't even spare his own grandson. According to Aurore, he once asked him: "Do you want to play doctor? You never want to play doctor?" Aurore didn't confront her father-in-law. The reason: As a child, she had also been abused by her grandfather and thought she was seeing ghosts when it came to her son. Today she blames herself for not noticing Pélicot's abuse: "How could we not see all of this? But that's so unbelievable. What normal person thinks of something like that? We trusted him."

Last week, the Taliban passed new laws requiring women to always fully cover their bodies, including their faces, in public. They also declared that women are not allowed to speak or sing in public.
These laws come on top of other severe restrictions on Afghan women under Taliban rule. The Taliban have banned girls and women from attending school beyond sixth grade, barred them from many forms of employment, and severely restricted their freedom of movement in public. A woman is not allowed to leave her home without being accompanied by a male family member.

Last week, the Taliban passed new laws requiring women to always fully cover their bodies, including their faces, in public. They also declared that women are not allowed to speak or sing in public.
These laws come on top of other severe restrictions on Afghan women under Taliban rule. The Taliban have banned girls and women from attending school beyond sixth grade, barred them from many forms of employment, and severely restricted their freedom of movement in public. A woman is not allowed to leave her home without being accompanied by a male family member.

Parsons, who was 18 years old at the time, would later admit to stealing the girl’s clothing for erotic crossdressing purposes.
